March 12, 2011 ...

Busy, busy, busy...

Worked today, Saturday, for the first time this season. Nice to have a few extra hours! Woo hoo! Also had to clean the studio today as tomorrow is Meghen's last competition for the season. Yes, that's right, tomorrow we're off to Millikan High School in Long Beach to watch her perform Burning Up one last time! Can't say I'm sorry to say good bye to these competitions.

It's that time of year when I begin to count down as things leave my calendar. One down...dance competitions. School done just around the corner. Play done in two weeks. Recital done in a few months. Tax season done in two months.

I have no idea why I'd be so excited about year end this year when next year is going to be busier than EVER. Between Taylor's Secretariat General responsibilities that I'm a ghost for and the fact that he's graduating and looking for colleges and Meghen beginning high school, doing drama and more dance, I really have no reason to be excited!

Of course, I won't know what to do without Taylor the following year. *sigh* Yes, my baby is graduating next year. Hell, he'll be 17 in a week! *sigh* I can't comprehend the fact that by next year, he'll be a full-fledged adult. Registering for the draft, going off to college, moving away!

Well, there is nothing special about me...parents have been going through the same for eons.

One last thing, before I go. I'd like to send up my prayers and thoughts to the people of Japan. After living through an 8.9 earthquake and then a terrible tsunami, I'm sure many of the people that survived wish that they hadn't. Nuclear reactors are leaving, aftershocks are a plenty, water is tainted and people are dying right and left. My thoughts are with them. I pray that they find peace in whatever they are going through and I pray that scientists find a way to halt the spread of the nuclear radiations that is permeating their atmosphere!

Please join me in praying, won't you?
